Coworking Spaces in Essaouira: The Complete List

Last Updated on 24th January 2026 by Jessie

Working remotely from Essaouira? This guide gives you the full breakdown on coworking options – from seaside cafés to creative hubs with fast Wi‑Fi and dreamy decor.

Personally, I think Tamraght and Taghazout are the dream digital nomad destinations. But if you’re worried the surf villages may be just a little too lax to keep the brain a-firing, then Essaouira might be for you. It’s got all of the structure and resources you need from a big city, but with enough coastal bohemian vibes to remind you that life really is just one big holiday after all. For the remote workers visiting this artsy Moroccan city, here is the complete list of coworking spaces in Essaouira.

Hotel Dar El Qdima in Essaouira.
  1. First and foremost, get travel insurance with SafetyWing. They’re super affordable and one of the few companies that let you buy insurance mid-trip.
  2. Book the dreamiest Moroccan abode on Booking.com. They’re my go-to for accomodation because you can save loooaads with their loyalty discounts.
  3. Or if you’re after the one-stop-shop, BookSurfCamps is the best place to find surf camp packages in Morocco.
  4. Find the best local tours with GetYourGuide. It’s the easiest way to visit places like Paradise Valley or Timlalin Dunes.
  5. Make sure you’re connected as soon as you get off the plane with Airalo’s Moroccan eSIM.
  6. Set up a Wise travel card to save on international transaction fees.
  7. And if you’re working online (or want to watch Netflix in your downtime) I highly recommend getting set up with a SurfShark VPN.

And you’re sorted.

Coworking Spaces in Essaouira

Coliving & Coworking Space

Noqta Space is hands down the most popular coworking space in Essaouira. And as such, it’s your best bet for meeting and working around like-minded travellers. The internet is solid, with two separate WiFi routers, and they’ve got private rooms available for booking.

The main coworking space doubles as a cafe, serving cheap, delicious food worth a hard day’s work. Noqta is a beautifully restored old riad, with two rooftop terraces for working outdoors. All coworking passes include free filtered coffee, tea and water.

Upstairs, there are three beautiful double rooms available for rent, all with an en-suite and a small desk. All stays include access to basic kitchen facilities and a free laundry service; however, use of the main coworking space is an optional extra.

Work And Beach | Riad Zahra

Coliving and Coworking Space

Riad Zahra is a good option if you’re looking for a quieter coworking space in Essaouira. Less of a co-living house, and more of a hotel that’s done a bit of rebranding towards remote workers. Riad Zahra is another gorgeous old building right by the beach.

They have repurposed the second floor of the riad into a coworking space with several desks. The room offers views of the ocean and guests have access to free tea, coffee and water. There are printing services available at reception.

The coworking space at Riad Zahra is open every day from 8am to 10pm.

Prices:

  • The coworking space costs 100dh (€10) for a half day, with a discounted rate of 450dh (€45) for 5 days, and 750dh (€75) for 10 days.
  • Rooms start at 1200dh (€120) for 3 nights, with cheaper rates for longer-term stays. All guests have free access to the coworking space.

Mama Lova

Boutique Hotel and Cafe

Mama Lova is another coworking space in Essaouira that was more of an afterthought than a primary goal. But nevertheless, the space is pretty damn special. Mama Lova is a velvet-laden boutique hotel that envisions itself as “a coworking space and cafe by day, rooftop bar in the evening, and high-end hotel at night.” Aim high.

Mama Lova is a pretty exy option for coworking in Essaouira, but all bookings include a meal and unlimited coffee. You can sit in the cosy downstairs cafe, or outdoors on the sunny rooftop terrace.

Prices

  • Option 1: 9am – 12pm with breakfast for 200dh (€20).
  • Option 2: 1pm – 4pm with a three-course lunch and drink for 300dh (€30).

Hostel La Smala

Hostel with rooftop Restaurant

Hostel La Smala isn’t a dedicated coworking space, but they welcome remote workers with open arms. Situated in the medina and overlooking the old ramparts, the rooftop terrace provides some of the best views in Essaouira.

Hostel La Smala has great WiFi and a small indoor communal workspace with loads of power points. The restaurant serves light meals and fresh drinks. There’s no fees for coworking, so if you’re grabbing breakfast or lunch, it’s a great low-cost option for getting some work done.
