About Me
Howdy.
I’m Jessie, an Australian who has opted to park up in one of Morocco’s rural surf villages for most of the year.
Aligning with my ‘live slow, die whenever’ ethos, Tamraght holds a special little place in my heart. But there’s an abundance of epic little villages up and down this coastline yet for me to explore: and the remaining chunk of my heart is yearning to meet them.
I’m not here to compete with Lonely Planet or TripAdvisor; my tips and recommendations are unapologetically biased by my own worldview. I’ve got a bee in my bonnet about social injustice, particularly where it pertains to the varying levels of privilege we’re dealt in life.
As a wise man once said, “Life is a shit sandwich. The more bread you have, the easier it is to take.”
I hope to share some useful travel info for exploring this unique part of the world; whilst also encouraging those who scored the whole loaf to have a little more consideration for those who were left with the stale crust.
(I realise fresh bread or khobz is the one thing that Morocco has an abundance of, so the analogy’s not the best.)
Anywho, consider this a work-in-progress guide to Morocco’s surf coast, through the lens of the existentially curious.
Enjoy Your Time.
