How to Get to Mirleft, Morocco: Your Transport Guide
Last Updated on 24th July 2025 by Jessie
Trying to get to Mirleft? This guide explains all your transport options – whether you’re coming from Agadir, Tiznit, or beyond – plus travel times and tips.
Mirleft is a bit of an underdog when it comes to Moroccan surf villages. Hidden away in the south-west coastal region of Guelmim-Oued Noun, it is most easily accessed by car. But for my public transport fan club, here is your complete transport guide for how to get to Mirleft.

I use affiliate links throughout my posts. This means that if you make a purchase through any of the links, I’ll get paid a small percentage – with no additional cost to you. I appreciate any and all support to keep me afloat so I can continue bringing honest, accurate travel tips to you.
Moroccan Travel Essentials
- First and foremost, get travel insurance with SafetyWing. They’re super affordable and one of the few companies that let you buy insurance mid-trip.
- Book the dreamiest Moroccan abode on Booking.com. They’re my go-to for accomodation because you can save loooaads with their loyalty discounts.
- Or if you’re after the one-stop-shop, BookSurfCamps is the best place to find surf camp packages in Morocco.
- Find the best local tours with GetYourGuide. It’s the easiest way to visit places like Paradise Valley or Timlalin Dunes.
- Make sure you’re connected as soon as you get off the plane with Airalo’s Moroccan eSIM.
- Set up a Wise travel card to save on international transaction fees.
- And if you’re working online (or want to watch Netflix in your downtime) I highly recommend getting set up with a SurfShark VPN.
And you’re sorted.
Which Airport is Closest to Mirleft?
The closest airport to Mirleft is Guelmim – 90km south-east of the village. But the flight routes to Guelmim are incredibly limited, connecting only Casablanca, Tan Tan and on the odd occasion, the Canary Islands.
The best airport to fly to for reaching Mirleft is Agadir Al-Massira. Several countries in the United Kingdom and Europe fly directly to Agadir. So check out Booking.com to find your ideal route.

How to Get to Mirleft from Agadir
Mirleft is located 140km south of Agadir. The most straightforward option is to rent a car and drive the 2.5 hours down the coast yourself. Check out the hire cars available at Rentalcars.com to book in advance.
Alternatively, you can catch a CTM bus, or organise a private or collective taxi.
The Agadir airport is 30km from the city centre, so unless you’re catching a taxi directly from the airport you will need to catch an initial taxi or bus to the centre of Agadir. I have explained both options in detail in this post.
Bus from Agadir to Mirleft
Morocco has two main bus companies, CTM and Supratours. Both of which are super reliable and easy to book online. However, only CTM offers routes from Agadir to Mirleft.
Buses depart from the main bus station, listed as ‘CTM Agadir‘ on Google Maps. There are two buses from Agadir to Mirleft each day.
| Departing | Arriving | Transport Time |
| 10.00am | 1.25pm | 3 hours 25 minutes |
| 6.15pm | 9.40pm | 3 hours 25 minutes |
The price for a bus ticket is 60dh (€6) with an additional 5dh (€0.50) for each large item of luggage.
The bus arrives in front of ‘Délices Mirleft‘. The village is fairly small, so it shouldn’t be more than a 30-minute walk from there to any accommodation.

Taxi from Agadir to mirleft
From the taxi rank outside of the Agadir airport arrivals hall, you can catch a taxi directly to Mirleft. All taxis follow a set fare of 700dh (€70) to Mirleft, with an additional 20dh (€2) per large piece of luggage. This is the price for the whole taxi, so the more companions you have, the merrier.
If you want to catch a taxi from Agadir city to Mirleft, you should head to the ‘Gare de Grand Taxis‘ (Grand taxi station) in the southern suburb of Inezgane. You will need to ask around, and expect to barter a little, but a taxi from Inezgane to Mirleft should cost around 500dh (€50).
