Best Nightlife and Bars in Agadir (2025 Edition)
Last Updated on 10th December 2025 by Jessie
Discover Agadir’s diverse nightlife – from beachside lounges and rooftop bars to live music venues and chilled evening spots for tourists and locals.
Agadir wouldn’t be my first pick for a party destination. For starters, Morocco is an Islamic country; thus, alcohol isn’t an accepted part of the culture. Agadir isn’t much of a social hub for tourists either. The majority of visitors are drawn to the all-inclusive beach clubs, so you don’t find the same sort of mingling as you do in places like Tamraght or Taghazout.
But for those in search of a cold beer on their beach vacation, I resonate. And whilst I’ve never frequented any of the bars or clubs in Agadir, I know of many Taghazout expats and backpackers who are partial to spicing up their evenings with a trip to an Agadir nightclub. Whatever your persuasion, I have sifted through all the possible venues for a tipple, and brought forth the best bars, nightclubs and restaurants in Agadir.

Moroccan Travel Essentials
- First and foremost, get travel insurance with SafetyWing. They’re super affordable and one of the few companies that let you buy insurance mid-trip.
- Book the dreamiest Moroccan abode on Booking.com. They’re my go-to for accomodation because you can save loooaads with their loyalty discounts.
- Or if you’re after the one-stop-shop, BookSurfCamps is the best place to find surf camp packages in Morocco.
- Find the best local tours with GetYourGuide. It’s the easiest way to visit places like Paradise Valley or Timlalin Dunes.
- Make sure you’re connected as soon as you get off the plane with Airalo’s Moroccan eSIM.
- Set up a Wise travel card to save on international transaction fees.
- And if you’re working online (or want to watch Netflix in your downtime) I highly recommend getting set up with a SurfShark VPN.
And you’re sorted.
Best Bars and Lounges in Agadir
Buddha Bar
Located in the Sofitel, Buddha Bar is one of several venues in Agadir with live musical performances (think fire-twirling, etc.) It’s sleek and kinda upscale, with cocktails and a pan-Asian menu. Entry after 9 PM requires a reservation and a minimum spend.
Blue Note
A cosy, jazz-inspired spot suitable for a quieter night. There’s live music on weekends, a low-key crowd, and a good selection of drinks.

La Bodeguita Essa – ⭐️ Best Atmosphere
Spanish-style bar with a restaurant attached. The food is great and the prices are pretty reasonable. There’s always live music playing, and they have salsa nights every Sunday. The bands attract a good crowd, and to top it off, they’ve got a pool table. Oof.
Rooftop Borj
Nothing too special, but it wins a lot of people over with the rooftop terrace. Relaxed atmosphere and a good spot for a sunset bevvy.
Wine Wine
Before 10pm, it’s an ambient little Arabesque bar, favoured for its shisha. After that, they switch to house music, attracting a solid crowd.
Best Nightclubs in Agadir
So Lounge
Attached to the Sofitel, So Lounge strives for swankier appeal. They have live music or DJ rotations. The crowd tends to comprise of hotel guests and Moroccan socialites.

Papagayo Nightclub – ⭐️ Most Popular Club
The most famous club in Agadir. Flashy, full of energy, buzzy atmosphere. The crowd is a mix of tourists and locals.
Naya Club
Naya is fun, flashy, and slightly less formal than the hotel clubs. Themed nights, live dancers and a decent-sized dance floor make it a solid pick for backpackers and locals alike. Entry fees can be a bit heccy.
Travel Insurance in Morocco
A sunny, post-surf afternoon is synonymous with a cold beer. But for those adding booze to their overseas adventure, this is a quick reminder to make sure you’ve got your travel insurance sorted. SafetyWing is my go-to for medical coverage in Morocco. Their plans are affordable, flexible and can be purchased mid-trip. No brainer.
The Essential plan offers emergency medical insurance with flexible add-ons, while the Complete plan offers all-inclusive health insurance from mental health to maternity with extended coverage.
Best Restaurants with Alcohol
Le Z Bar Tapas
A lively tapas bar with upbeat music, hearty Spanish-Moroccan dishes, and a crowd that skews younger.

Vibes Restaurant Lounge
As the name suggests, good food and better vibes. Younger crowd.
Pirate Club
Right on the beach, Pirate Club serves up budget-friendly food, cold beer, and a front-row seat to the sunset. It’s casual, unpretentious, and one of the more social spots near the water.
Mamma Caterina – ⭐️ Best for Wine
Cosy Italian restaurant with good wine and a homey atmosphere.

Pure Passion
Upscale seafood restaurant in the marina. Come for the wine list, stay for the view.
Le Monticule – ⭐️ Best for Cheap Beer
This hole-in-the-wall local joint is popular with beer drinkers thanks to its low prices and lack of pretence. Not fancy, but good enough.
Best Nightlife on Morocco’s Surf Coast
If you are after a bit of nightlife on your Moroccan adventure, I’d opt for Essaouira. It’s a small coastal city, but it’s got a great artsy/cultural scene. You can find jazzy bars with epic rooftop views, beachfront restaurants, and half-decent clubs with live music.
