If you’re seeking an affordable surf adventure without sacrificing quality, Dreamsea Surf Camp in Imsouane is a safe bet. This camp ticks all the boxes with budget-friendly accommodations, comprehensive surf programs, and a good social atmosphere.

However, if you’re fortunate enough to sit on the other end of the financial spectrum, Dreamsea does have accommodation options for all budgets. You can opt for a private glamping tent with ocean views, or a room repurposed from a traditional fishing boat, for something a little more novel.

5. The O – Best Luxury Surf Camp

When it comes to surf camps in Imsouane, The Ō is in a realm of its own. To be honest, I was familiar with The Ō surf camp before I even knew of Imsouane village itself. Pat on the back to whoever’s behind their marketing. But I suppose, with decor that dreamy, the place basically sells itself.

The Ō has managed to nab the most idyllic location in Imsouane, simultaneously perched right above Magic Bay and backing onto the main street of town, beside the fishing port. The terrace offers sweeping views of the bay, with a backdrop of looming desert cliffs. Take a pastel sunrise, add a bit of seamist, and throw in a boutique surf camp laden with terracotta and soft linens – and it’s no wonder The Ō is an Instagrammer’s dream.

You can book this place as accommodation only, or throw in an additional surf package. If you’re a competent surfer, I’d recommend just using The Ō as your boujee little surf base. Otherwise, you can opt in for daily surf lessons, free brekkies, surfboard and wetsuit hire, and surf video analysis.

If I were on a honeymoon or had excess cash to splash (equally unforeseeable scenarios for me), I wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to live large in this slice of paradise. If you fit either of those shoes, go hard, my friend.

Imsouane Surf Seasons and Conditions

Imsouane is a year-round surf destination, but the best swells usually hit between September and April. The Bay offers long, mellow rides perfect for beginners and longboarders, while Cathedral Point dishes up punchier waves, better suited to intermediate surfers.

How to Get to Imsouane

  • From Agadir: 1.5 to 2 hours by rental car, shuttle or private taxi.
  • From Essaouira: 2 hours by grand taxi.
  • By bus: CTM and Supratours don’t go directly to Imsouane, so shared taxis from Tamri or Tamanar are your best option.

I have provided detailed route options in this guide on how to get to Imsouane.
