Surf Camps in Mirleft: The Complete List

Last Updated on 9th November 2025 by Jessie

Searching for a surf camp in Mirleft? This guide lists local options offering all-in-one surf and stay packages – perfect for a relaxed, wave-filled escape on Morocco’s Atlantic coast.

Mirleft is a little more remote than the other surf villages in Morocco. The surf spots are a bit of a trek from the centre of town. So hiring boards, organising transport and scouting the best waves of the day can be a bit of a mission. It’s well worth booking in at a surf camp for the whole shebang and letting the locals take care of everything for you. Here is the complete list of surf camps in Mirleft.

  1. First and foremost, get travel insurance with SafetyWing. They’re super affordable and one of the few companies that let you buy insurance mid-trip.
  2. Book the dreamiest Moroccan abode on Booking.com. They’re my go-to for accomodation because you can save loooaads with their loyalty discounts.
  3. Or if you’re after the one-stop-shop, BookSurfCamps is the best place to find surf camp packages in Morocco.
  4. Find the best local tours with GetYourGuide. It’s the easiest way to visit places like Paradise Valley or Timlalin Dunes.
  5. Make sure you’re connected as soon as you get off the plane with Airalo’s Moroccan eSIM.
  6. Set up a Wise travel card to save on international transaction fees.
  7. And if you’re working online (or want to watch Netflix in your downtime) I highly recommend getting set up with a SurfShark VPN.

And you’re sorted.

Mirleft Surf Houses

Whilst the below aren’t technically surf camps, they are well worth a mention for those seeking surf-adjacent accommodation.

The Line Up

The Line Up isn’t a standalone surf camp – they don’t offer in-house surf lessons. However, they team up with the guys at Spot-M to offer surf packages that can be booked alongside your stay.

The Line Up is a swanky little surf house and hostel in the heart of Mirleft. The decor is stunning, combining elements of modern coastal home with traditional Moroccan furnishings to hit that perfect blend of surf village charm à la Maroc. And the space is small, allowing for an intimate, substitute family-feel with the other guests.

For those in need of a stretch to counterbalance their hours in the surf, The Line Up offers yoga classes on their terrace and at the beach – open to guests and non-guests alike. You can check out the timetable and book online, then pay in cash.

The dorm prices are more than reasonable for the quality. As such, The Line Up makes my list of the best budget places to stay in Mirleft.

They occasionally host retreats, so keep an eye on their socials for upcoming offerings!

Prices

  • Prices start at 100-150dh (€10-€15) per person, per night for accommodation.
  • Breakfast and dinner included.

Allma Ocean House is primarily a bed and breakfast guesthouse. However, extras like home-cooked dinners, surf lessons, surf guiding and yoga classes can be booked à la carte – so guests can tailor their stay to their needs.

Allma Ocean House also hosts curated surf, yoga and meditation retreats throughout the year. Often these are for women only, collaborating with different yoga instructors and wellness practitioners to host the week-long experiences.

Prices

  • Nightly rates start at €105 for a double room, with breakfast included.
  • Week-long Surf and Yoga or Yoga and Meditation Immersion retreats start at €990 per person, with all meals and activities included.

FAQs for Mirleft Surf Camps

Is Mirleft a good surf destination for beginners?

Yes, Mirleft is a great spot for beginner surfers, thanks to its uncrowded beaches and mellow waves. Breaks like Plage Imin Tourga offer soft beach entries and consistent conditions that are perfect for learning. Most surf camps in Mirleft tailor lessons to all levels and provide personalised coaching in small groups.

When is the best time to surf in Mirleft?

The best surf season in Mirleft is from October to March, when Atlantic swells are strongest and most consistent.
– Winter (Nov–Feb) is ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers with bigger swells.
– Autumn and spring offer reliable conditions and fewer crowds.
– Summer (June–August) is warm but generally has smaller waves — great for beginners or longboarders.

How much does a surf camp in Mirleft cost?

Surf camps in Mirleft are generally more affordable than those in more famous surf towns like Taghazout. A week-long surf camp usually costs €350–€600, depending on the level of accommodation, season, and extras (like yoga or private rooms).

Budget travellers can find shorter packages or surf-and-stay deals at even lower prices.

Is Mirleft less crowded than other surf villages in Morocco?

Yes – and that’s part of its charm. Unlike busier surf hubs like Taghazout or Imsouane, Mirleft offers quieter beaches, fewer crowds in the water, and a more relaxed atmosphere. It’s ideal for surfers seeking space, solitude, and a deeper local experience. This makes it a hidden gem on Morocco’s southern coast.

Can you rent surfboards and wetsuits in Mirleft without staying at a surf camp?

Absolutely. Daily and weekly rental rates are available, and many surf shops offer flexible gear swaps based on surf conditions. Check out my full list of surf shops in Mirleft providing surfboard and gear rentals.
