If you’re travelling to Tamraght as a family or with a group of friends, renting a holiday apartment is a super affordable option. You’re guaranteed the privacy of a whole home to yourself, without feeling like you’re part of a human circus as in the big chain hotels. Plus, often you can find little gems tucked away in quieter parts of the neighbourhood, allowing you a much more authentic, local community feel.
Most apartments come with fully equipped kitchens, so you can visit the local souk and try your hand at preparing some Moroccan dishes at home. There are tonnes of apartments in Tamraght listed on Booking.com, so I’ve saved you the work by picking out my top 5 favourites.

Moroccan Travel Essentials
- First and foremost, get travel insurance with SafetyWing. They’re super affordable and one of the few companies that let you buy insurance mid-trip.
- Book the dreamiest Moroccan abode on Booking.com. They’re my go-to for accomodation because you can save loooaads with their loyalty discounts.
- Or if you’re after the one-stop-shop, BookSurfCamps is the best place to find surf camp packages in Morocco.
- Find the best local tours with GetYourGuide. It’s the easiest way to visit places like Paradise Valley or Timlalin Dunes.
- Make sure you’re connected as soon as you get off the plane with Airalo’s Moroccan eSIM.
- Set up a Wise travel card to save on international transaction fees.
- And if you’re working online (or want to watch Netflix in your downtime) I highly recommend getting set up with a SurfShark VPN.
And you’re sorted.

Things to Look For in Apartments in Tamraght
Great Rooftop Terraces
What Moroccan homes lack in backyards, they well and truly make up for in their rooftop terraces. You can find some beautifully well-designed rooftops on the apartments in Tamraght, equipped with dining nooks, comfortable floor cushions and ample space for yoga and all the rest.
The sun shines almost all year round in Tamraght. It’s the kind of holiday that’s best spent outdoors, so a good rooftop terrace is essential. Choose the right apartment, and you may well secure yourself one of the best sunset viewing spots in the village.
Beautiful Moroccan Décor
I can’t be the only one with a kink for great feng shui. There are plenty of apartments in Tamraght with ultra-modern, super clean, all-white-everything interiors; but damn that’s bland. Traditional Moroccan décor operates with a ‘more is more’ mentality and I highly recommend finding an apartment that allows you to experience that fully.
Location, Location
The village of Tamraght sprawls up over a large hill, so depending on your appeal for walking, you want to be mindful of where the apartments in Tamraght are located. The main tourist hub sits just back from the main road on ground level, with a number of shops, cafes and restaurants in this radius.
On the other hand, apartments situated further up on the hill can offer incredible views of the ocean and the surrounding mountains. Either way, location is well worth considering.
Breakfast Included
It’s not exactly a necessity, because you can find plenty of great, affordable breakfasts at the cafes and restaurants in Tamraght. Nonetheless, breakfast prepared for you at home can be a sweet little perk to really get you in the full vacation swing of things.
